Casey Atwood is a former NASCAR driver who began his racing career at a young age, making his debut in the NASCAR Busch Series at the age of 16. In 1996, he became the youngest driver to win a NASCAR Late Model Stock Car race at the age of 16.
Atwood made his NASCAR Cup Series debut in 2000, driving for Evernham Motorsports. He became the youngest pole-sitter in NASCAR Cup Series history at the age of 19. Throughout his career, Atwood competed for various teams in both the Cup Series and the Busch Series, including Ray Evernham Motorsports, Ultra Motorsports, and FitzBradshaw Racing.
Despite showing promise early in his career, Atwood struggled to secure consistent results at the Cup Series level and ultimately retired from full-time racing in 2006. Since then, he has shifted his focus to other aspects of the racing industry, including coaching and working with up-and-coming drivers.
